It felt like we had numerous different destinations today...
It felt like we were zig zagging across California...
It felt like we kept stopping on the side of the road to figure out a new plan...
None of this was true of course... Well, we did keep stopping on the side of the road to come up with a new plan. But we never actually drove out of our way. It was a good day! We slept in, had breakfast, and went for a swim. We casually got ready and packed up for the day. We left our hotel around 1 pm heading for Sequoia National Park. However, when I called to make our hotel reservation, she asked me if I had snow tires or chains. Hmmm.... Never a good sign! They had had 7 inches of snow since 5 am and it was expected to continue snowing for the rest of the day. We decided we did NOT want to get stuck alone...in a hotel room... for numerous days...with our 5 kids...for Thanksgiving...even if they DO have cool trees!!! So after several renditions of a new plan... we headed WEST! Tonight, we're in Monterey, CA! On the agenda for tomorrow...Monterey Bay Aquarium! We're looking forward to this. I promise I'll actually have some pictures to post tomorrow!
