Day 10 - Redmond, OR

We made it over to my Grandma and Grandpa's around 11am this morning.  It was so good to see them and the kids immediately dove into their little basket of toys and started imagining and creating.  They were so in need of some play time.  My grandparents are amazing!  They are 87 and 88 years old and their house is immaculate.  My Grandma served us peanut butter and jelly on homemade bread.  We devoured the whole loaf and she immediately put another loaf in to bake.  Their cupboards are stocked with homemade relishes and canned goods from their garden.  They even have their names on a sign on the way to the park marking the area of the road that they are responsible for keeping clean.  Like I said...AMAZING!

We spent the entire afternoon at my grandparents house.  Tobin and Chloe have been doing really well with the hit-or-miss nap schedule they've had on this trip.  But today they had a real bed in my grandparents guest room for nap time and they made good use of it.  They slept 4 HOURS!  It was fabulous for all!  The big girls enjoyed a trip to the park with Grandma while the little ones slept.  They played Little House on the Prairie using a pile of leaves as their house and stirring up a pot of acorn stew.  I love their imaginations!!!
