Day 11 - Redmond, OR

We spent the morning and afternoon at my Grandma and Grandpa's.  We all sure loved spending time with them!

They live on a beautiful canyon.  It snowed last night so the canyon was especially beautiful as everything sparkled in a dusting of new snow.  The kids loved seeing all the different birdies that came to visit the 3 bird feeders and bird bath behind their house.  Here is a picture from their back door...

After lunch, we put the little ones down for a nap and the "big kids" played Uno and went for a walk in the canyon.

Later in the day, Daddy flew in to join us.  Everyone was so excited to see him and immediately surrounded him to tell him all about our adventures.  The girls have been keeping drawing journals so they have drawn pictures of things we've seen the last 10 days.  Don enjoyed hearing all about it from their perspective and seeing their drawings!  He will be relieving my mom as my travel mate until after Thanksgiving!  Everyone was excited for Daddy to join us but sad to leave Grandma behind in Redmond, especially Chloe (lots of tears!  So sad!).  She didn't understand why Grandma couldn't just sit on the cooler between the 2 back seats!

In the evening, we met my Auntie Lynn and Uncle Ted at Pappy's Pizza Place.  There was a big play land that was great for a much needed energy release!  After dinner, we headed back to my grandparents house and the kids watched a movie while the adults chatted.  It was so great to see them!  The kids took to them right away and were excited to show them their drawing journals also.  They were a loving audience!  There were many more tears as we said goodbye!  Three of my girls are quite sensitive and mourn all losses.  Everyone is doing better this morning after a good nights rest!

Here is the FOUR Generation picture we took...

... here's Grandma dressed up like a box!?!
