Drive for Change: Toby & Chloe are 4!!!

In the past couple weeks, we have closed on our house, packed and unpacked moving trucks, moved into a storage unit, and driven over 1300 miles. In the middle of all the busyness, these lil monkeys turned 4!!!

It was a joy to celebrate them! They are at such a fun age. They get so excited about everything and they say the funniest things...

The other day, I was making the kids eggs for breakfast.

Me: "Toby, how would you like your eggs?"
Toby: "I want just like Libby has." (Libby had asked for sunny side up)
Me: "Toby, do you like sunny side up eggs?" (He doesn't)
Toby: "Maybe"
Me: "Why don't you choose a kind of egg that you know you like and would eat."
Toby: "Well...I LIKE chocolate eggs!"

Another conversation in the car later went like this...

Toby: "Daddy, is there be Costco in Africa?"
Daddy: "No, Buddy. There isn't Costco in Africa."
Toby: "Cause Costco be far far away?
Daddy: "Yep"
Toby: "Oh, so Mommy will just go on an airplane every time to Costco."
(This was a STATEMENT, not a question. I love that it doesn't occur to him that Mommy would live without Costco! :) )

Here's Chloe describing houses in Africa...

Chloe, you are such a fun little girl! You have a spunky personality that always makes us laugh. You have a way of endearing yourself to the special people in your life and each of them is your favorite. There is not a stranger in your life and you are a ray of sunshine to all that meet you. You love princesses, pink, dressing up, dancing, and you ADORE your big sisters. When you talk, you use all parts of your body. You are a little girl of a million facial expressions and we love EVERY one of them! They are SO you! You are very affectionate and such an encourager. You are quick to tell Mommy how pretty she looks or Daddy that he is the BEST Daddy EVER...and you give the best HUGS! We are SO proud of you little girl! Happy Birthday Sweetie!

Toby, you are such a sweet little man! God has given you such a tender and compassionate heart.(which will come in handy with 4 sisters!) You are very relational and you have LOTS to say. I love hearing what is going on in your little head. You are an incredible gift giver. You love making gifts for people and blessing them with "special deliveries". You love nerf guns, GI Joe, Transformers, and everything BALLS. You are also turning into quite the little artist as you patiently work to get your pictures just right. You are a cautious lil dude and prefer to scope out any action from the sidelines before you jump in. You love helping Daddy do "manly" things and you both do a great job taking care of us girls! And you LOVE playing with your sisters of course! You are a special little guy and we are SO proud of you! Happy Birthday Buddy!

We celebrated Toby and Chloe in Iowa with Poppa and Nauna! (Our kiddos were battling some sickness during the week so we celebrated over a couple days and had some fun time with Uncle Adam and cousin Jordyn as well!)
