Logistics Update

For most of this summer, Don has been able to continue working for Pella Corp.  He was able to work from "home" (or wherever home happened to be that week) in a less demanding role then he was used to.  This was an incredible blessing to our family as we were transitioning from a full time corporate job to full time Vytrak.  His last day with Pella was Aug 31 so he has been full time Vytrak now for 2 weeks.  He has been looking forward to this time to really be able to start focusing and moving things along more quickly.  There is an enormous amount of work to do but we are excited to be jumping in with both feet.  We have an exciting Vytrak weekend planned this weekend!  Stay tuned for more...

Our passports arrived a couple weeks ago!

Since then, I have been working on gathering everything together to send off to the Ghanaian embassy to apply for our visas.  After taking more passport pics, photo copying, letter writing, money orders, and multiple trips to the storage unit to get different documents, I finally had our visa apps ready to go yesterday...

Pretty sure I looked like this when the process was over!

But never the less, our passports are on their way to the Embassy of Ghana in Washington DC and should be back within a couple weeks.  I may have heard the Hallelujah Chorus in the background as I walked out of the post office!
