Who'd have thought?!?

BIG DAY tomorrow...  Our team starts arriving tomorrow.  Don's brother, his wife and our 4-year old niece fly in tomorrow night.  Then the other 2 couples on our team fly in on Saturday.  Everyone is coming ready to jump into a couple of busy weeks discussing, strategizing, acclimating, building, planning, selling, spending, researching, and dreaming about all that God is leading us to do here in Ghana.  We spent the day moving furniture around (This mainly meant trying different combinations and arrangements to fit seven of us and our beds into one room.  But we did it!), cleaning, creating an office and a bedroom in the living room, and organizing/consolidating our things that had somehow managed to spread themselves out into all parts of the house...and now we're ready!  We're SO excited!  By Sunday, our little house will be bursting with 7 new faces to Ghana!  (in case you're counting, that's 16 of us in one house including Ernestina and her mom!  It's gonna be fun!)

BIG DAY tomorrow...for another reason!  Tomorrow is THE DAY!  For the last 4 years, Libby, Kady, and Ally have written to, prayed for, cried over, and LOVED 3 little girls who live in Kasoa, Ghana.  (part of the greater Accra area here)  We have sponsored these 3 little girls (exactly our girls' ages) through Compassion International and it has been a dream of our kids to get to meet Emmanuella, Mary, and Dorothy some day.  And guess what...TOMORROW is the day!  Our kids are nervously excited and frantically practicing their Twi!  Many sponsors never have the privilege to meet the children that they sponsor face to face and here we are, living in the same city as these 3 precious girls.

And for a little randomness...

Did you know the Ghanaian tooth fairy leaves Ghana Cedis and Smarties...
