Memorial Day

Memorial Day has always been a solemn day for me.  As the daughter of a man who spent his career serving his country, I know well the sacrifices military families make.  Though my father served during Desert Storm, we were blessed to see him return.  Many in our country have loved ones that never will...

"Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." ~ John 15:13

Thank you Dad...Thank you Uncle Adam...for the time you gave and the sacrifices you made in serving our country!

Libby arranged a family activity in the evening.  She requested that everyone draw a picture of a freedom fighter.  She had books laid out on the table for inspiration.  It was a great activity and one we may make a tradition!
