Adventures in the "Bumblebee"

Our favorite fruit stand is about a 20 min walk from the house one way.  It's a pleasant walk and the ladies especially enjoy the chance to get out.  The walk back is pleasant as well but the loads of fruit on our backs can get heavy at times...UNTIL the "Bumblebee" arrived!  The first day this yellow gem showed up, Pat drove us to the roadside, we loaded the back up with all of our fruit purchases, then Pat drove the fruit home while we enjoyed a leisurely stroll back.  It was a BEAUTIFUL thing!  Our neighbors must have thought it was a crazy sight to see the ubrunis rumbling through town.  We got lots of smiles and waves!!!

But it wasn't until our second trip out that we discovered that there was something funnier than a bunch of ubrunis driving around a bright yellow trike loaded with fruit...

That's right...

a bunch of ubrunis...

PUSHING a bright yellow trike...

loaded with fruit...

that RAN OUT OF GAS!

Yes...yes we did!!!  :)

We put Libby in the driver's seat and the rest of us pushed and ran behind the rest of the way home.  I didn't stop sweating for 3 hours...
